Pets Day! | Print |

We had a wonderful time on Tuesday of this week when the Infants had their Pets Day.  For me, one of the highlights was a visit from Gill Ridgers with Saffy – a beautiful labradoodle ‘Canine Partner’. Saffy is trained to help disabled people live a more mobile life by helping them to open doors, retrieve things that they have dropped and even help them out of bed.  It was a memorable visit and we are most grateful.

In the afternoon, the Infants became a menagerie with ‘all creatures great and small’ being brought in by willing mums.   We had stick insects, some guinea pigs, a rabbit, a hamster, a terrapin and a budgie.  (Please forgive me if I forgot any! )

Thank you to all the people who were involved in this hugely enjoyable learning day, especially to Mrs Biddlecombe who took the children’s ideas and turned it into a reality.

There are photos in the gallery on the school website.
