Year 6 Survival Sleepout in the Snow | Print |

Around 18 children from Year 6 braved the cold and slept out in the school grounds on the night the snow came.  The culmination of their topic on 'Survival' saw each child persuade one of their parents to make a shelter with them and sleep in it for the night.   Although some were questioning the sanity of those who braved the experience, the children woke to a covering of snow and parents and children alike shared a huge sense of achievement.  Our picture shows them in the morning waiting for thier breakfast of bacon rolls.  The idea, suggested by the children and organised by Mr Gallop, is likely to repeated next year.  Year 5 watch out!

Pictures will appear on the Gallery in due course.
